Mateo Kovacic suffering the same fate as Morata and James to join Real Madrid

The dream of succeeding at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is a hard one to realise, as the likes of James Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata and now Mateo Kovacic have found out.

for many players it's a dream come true to join Real Madrid, one of Europe's biggest clubs, but it doesn't always end as they hope.

"I'm happy to be here, it's a dream come true," were Rodriguez's words in 2014.
"It's a day of total happiness because I'm back home to give my all at the Bernabeu and try to stay as long as possible," said Morata in August 2015.

"Coming to Madrid is an opportunity that you can't let pass you by," was Kovacic's take only four days after Morata in 2015.

As time goes by, players realise that they can't get the game time they desire with such world class talents around them, and James opted to leave for Bayern on loan.
Morata left for Juventus first of all, then returned, failed to displace BBC and left for Chelsea in an 80 million euro deal. Now, it is Kovacic's turn.

He has already spoken to Julen Lopetegui to confirm his desire to leave to get regular first team football.

"I want to play more and the best thing for me is to leave Madrid," he said to MARCA in June.History is repeating itself,
but Kovacic should be careful because a year on, at least James wants to come back.

At just 24-years-old and with a well stocked trophy cabinet featuring three Champions League titles, one LaLiga, two European Super Cups, two Club World Cups and a Spanish Super Cup, he thinks it could be the time to move on."The problem is that it's difficult for a young player to have continuity and without that I will never be able to show my potential," he explained when speaking to MARCA.

"When I don't play of course I'm not happy."I've enjoyed these three years in Madrid hugely, with incredible teammates, winning trophies... But I haven't been completely happy because my contribution to all of this has not been the biggest and it's something I want to change.

"The ball is now in the club's court and until now they have refused to grant him his wish.Having met with the coach only five days after a World Cup final shows just how serious Kovacic is in his desire and his hopes of resolving his future as soon as possible. In Madrid, key figures are now beginning to think that they may have no choice but to allow him to leave, but if that is to be the case, it will be for at least 50 million euros.
